Geography

In Geography, learners gain a deeper understanding of our changing world, and explore and understand space and place. The subject allows learners to recognise the significant differences in cultures, political systems, economies, landscapes and environments across the world and explore their links. Geography is unique in bridging the social sciences and natural sciences, encouraging learners to be more socially and environmentally sensitive, better informed, and more responsible global citizens.

History provides an interactive experience for pupils looking back on key events in Scotland, Britain and the world. Through studying history pupils are uniquely placed to develop key skills which cut across all subject areas, such as source analysis, literacy skills, and evaluation skills. These sit amongst soft skills such as discussion and debating skills. Pupils who study History leave with solid skills to help them develop in life and an appreciation for the development of the world and our links within it. All notes can be found on class teams and revision padlets.
